Chang-Do Gong is a Partner at White & Case in the firm's New York office. He is in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, a global practice focusing on effective deal execution and optimized efficiency for clients across a variety of large and complex transactions.
Chang-Do advises clients on matters relating to mergers and acquisitions. He has represented numerous national and international clients, guiding them through the different phases of significant transactions and helping them realize their strategic and investment-related goals.
Chang-Do has represented acquirors, targets, boards of directors, special committees and investment banks across a variety of transactions, including negotiated and unsolicited transactions, as well as public and private transactions. He focuses on both macro and micro aspects of the transaction process across complex domestic and cross-border deals.
Chang-Do has experience in several high-profile transactions, including The Walt Disney Company's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment, Inc. and MedImmune, Inc.'s sale to AstraZeneca PLC, as well as several unsolicited acquisitions such as Zimmer Holdings, Inc.'s acquisition of Centerpulse AG and Omnicare, Inc.'s acquisitions of NeighborCare Inc. and NCS HealthCare, Inc.
He also has represented Sony Corporation of America and Altria Group, Inc. on several M&A transactions.
His experience extends across several industry sectors including the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector, as well as the retail, energy and life sciences sectors.
